Robert J Scott
Rob Scott is a seasoned infrastructure executive with over 25 years of experience in NSW Local Government, specialising in civil engineering and water utilities. With a degree in Civil Engineering from UTS and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering Management, he has led multidisciplinary teams and delivered critical infrastructure across regional and metropolitan communities.
Rob currently serves as the Director of Infrastructure & Engineering Services at MidCoast Council, where he's responsible for a $5 billion asset base across transport, water, sewer, stormwater and more. He’s also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, combining technical insight with strategic governance and leadership capability.
Known for his direct, collaborative style and deep commitment to community outcomes, Rob is a passionate advocate for engineering and for the role local government plays in delivering real, on-the-ground results.
