Ramsey Awad
Ramsey is an accomplished infrastructure executive with over 25 years' experience in the planning, procurement, and delivery of complex public infrastructure across government, health, and education. His expertise spans capital works, sustainability, precinct development, and public-private partnerships, with a focus on creating infrastructure that delivers long-term public value.
Currently Ramsey holds the position of Group Director of Infrastructure Delivery & Strategy for NSW Public Works, which last year collaborated with government agencies to deliver $4.6 billion in infrastructure across 1,900 projects through its 20 offices across NSW.
He previously served as Executive Director of Infrastructure, Planning, and Sustainability at Hunter New England Health, where he oversaw a $50 billion asset portfolio and a $2.5 billion capital program. He led a team of 500 staff delivering health infrastructure across one of Australia's largest and most complex health districts. He led the delivery of long-term infrastructure strategies, pioneered regional housing and sustainability initiatives, and positioned HNE Health as a national leader in asset management, community engagement, and climate resilience.
Renowned for his ability to lead high-performing teams, drive innovation, and effectively navigate complex political and stakeholder landscapes, Ramsey possesses extensive expertise across various government portfolios and agencies. His impressive track record includes overseeing some of NSW most significant infrastructure programs, such as the redevelopments of Circular Quay and Walsh Bay.
